We often talk about bravery—showing up, trying again, finding your voice. But this week, I want to talk about a different kind of courage: the courage to choose joy.
Joy might not always feel like a bold decision. It doesn’t scream for attention the way hustle and grit do. Choosing joy—real, embodied joy—is a radical act. It’s dancing for yourself. It’s saying yes to class when you don’t feel ready. It’s laughing through the mess and letting yourself feel good just because.
Have you ever seen those reels or tiktoks and see horses running free, and get choked up? It’s because innately as humans, we want to feel joy and freedom. So let’s make the conscious choice and choose joy.
So ask yourself:
- What would it mean to choose joy this week?
- Can I let go of “perfect” and dance for the feeling?
- Where in my life have I been dimming my own light?
- You don’t have to earn joy. You just have to choose it.
And when you do, we’ll be right here, dancing beside you.
With love,
XOXO
