We spent April peeling back layers, showing up as our truest selves, and honoring what feels real and aligned. Now, it’s time to take that truth and do something brave with it.
This month, our theme is simple but powerful: BE DARING.
Being daring isn’t about being reckless or loud (though it can be). It’s about risking a little more for the life that feels right. It’s trusting the voice within and having the courage to follow it—even when it’s scary. Even when it’s uncomfortable. Even when it doesn’t make perfect sense on paper.
I’m going to take you back almost 15 years ago when I started pole dancing. It was unconventional, but it felt so right. I had to be daring in these moments to pursue something that helped me so much, at the time, and still now. My parents at the time could not understand why I was doing this. They at the time were marathon runners, and I asked them how it felt to train for marathons, and how it felt to complete a marathon. They told me that their hardwork with training, and completing the marathon made them feel accomplished and overall good in both body and mind. I then explained to them that’s how I feel in every pole dance class, but, rather, the satisfaction that they were feelng I felt after every pole dance move or spin! Once I put it into a perspective they could understand, they the gave me their full support. This moment with my parents, I really had to be daring to explain what felt right for me.
To be daring is to show up fully for your dreams, your art, your healing, your pleasure, your strength. It’s applying for that thing you think you’re underqualified for. It’s speaking up when you normally stay silent. It’s saying yes to that adventure, or finally saying no to what’s been draining you.
Daring is not about having no fear. It’s about choosing to move anyway—aligned with your authentic self.
This month, let’s explore:
• What would I do if I trusted myself a little more?
• Where have I been holding back?
• What does my daring look like today?
Whether it’s trying a new pole move, signing up for your first class, telling your parents you’re going to try pole, expressing yourself more boldly, or just wearing that outfit that feels like YOU—let this be your month of bold moves.
So go ahead. Say yes to yourself.
Be daring. You’re ready.
With love and boldness,
XOXO
