When we talk about being daring, we often think of big leaps—quitting a job, moving to a new city, launching something bold. But sometimes, the most courageous thing we can do is simply begin again.
This week, I want to remind you that starting over isn’t failure. It’s bravery. Whether it’s returning to pole after time away, revisiting a dream you once shelved, or showing up differently in a space where you’ve stayed small—every new beginning is an act of courage.
We don’t always talk about the fear that comes with circling back. I felt it when I rebranded the studio. It can feel vulnerable to be seen trying again, especially if we’ve already told ourselves the story that we “should” be further along by now. However, rebranding the studio to be more community based was the best thing I ever did! It took a big undertaking and a lot of unlearning, and learning, but being daring means releasing those stories and meeting ourselves where we are—now.
I’ve had to begin again more times than I can count. After injuries. After burnout. After life seasons that pulled me away from the studio and myself. And each time, I worried: Will it feel the same? Will I be strong enough? Will anyone notice I’m struggling?
But here’s what I’ve learned: Every return brought new depth. A deeper why. A softer compassion. A fiercer sense of self.
So this week, if you’ve been waiting for the “perfect” time to come back, to speak up, to try something new or try again—let this be your sign. You don’t need permission. You don’t need to be perfect. You just need to begin.
Ask yourself:
- What am I ready to begin again?
- What version of myself do I want to meet on the other side?
- Can I be daring enough to show up imperfectly?
- This kind of bravery is quiet but life-changing.
Begin again. Begin boldly.
That’s what daring looks like.
With you, every step of the way,
XOXO
